Society WhatsApp groups rot. National apps reward performance. Housing is denser; family is more nuclear; the person who knows the plumber moved out last year.
What a neighbourhood community is for
Not debate. Not news. Errands, alerts, names, and plans within a kilometre or two.
That is a community platform in the old sense: a street, not a brand.
Why it is showing up again
- Delivery and WFH made the sector the workplace.
- City groups got too large to answer “tonight.”
- Parents and older residents still need names, not content.
